The table tennis team placed 4th during this weekends Arnold Classic in Columbus. Congratulations to James Roeder
who won matches against Akron and Ohio State in the *singles league.
*Corrections: It was in the college team event that James Roeder won two matches, not in a singles

Club Table Tennis goes to Regional Tournament
Club Table Tennis participated in a Regional Tournament held at Akron University on Sat., February 16. Overall,
Ashland University placed *9th, and the results are as follows:
Ashland vs. OSU: OSU 5-0
Ashland vs. Kentucky: UK 5-0
Ashland vs. Ferris: Ferris 4-1
Ashland vs. Marshall: Marshall 4-1
Ashland vs. Oberlin: Oberlin 3-2
Ashland vs. Case: Case 3-2
*Akron University and Michigan were also competing, though Ashland did not compete with them. Three powerful Ashland
University players were YUBIN YANG, JAMES ROEDER, and MIKE BELSITO. Yubin Yang placed *2nd against Oberlin with the following
stats:
11-3, 11-7, and 11-8
James Roeder placed *1st against Ferris State, Marshall, Oberlin, and Case Western!
Against Ferris: 11-7, 5-11, 11-7, 4-11, 11-7
Against Marshall: 11-8, 9-11, 11-9, 15-13
Against Oberlin: 11-3, 11-3, 12-10
Against Case: 8-11, 6-11, 11-3, 12-10, 11-6
James Roeder and Mike Belsito also won in doubles, with stats of 11-7, 11-9, and 11-6.
Great job, Club Table Tennis!
*Corrections: Ashland placed 7th, Akron University should be University of Akron, Yubin Yang won
at second singles rather than placing 2nd, and James Roeder won at first singles rather than placing 1st

Club Sports
The Club Table Tennis Team traveled to Akron this past weekend and placed *9th against Ohio State, *Michigan, Kentucky,
*Akron University, Ferris State, Marshall, Case Western, and Oberlin. Congratulations to James Roeder who won four singles
matches throughout the competition, as well as one doubles match with Mike Belsito. Yubin Yang also came through in a singles
win versus Oberlin College.
*Corrections: Ashland placed 7th, Akron University is actually University of Akron, and Ashland
didn't play against Michigan and Akron during this competition (despite them being there)

Table Tennis Club Results
Table Tennis Club traveled to the University of Akron for their first ever tournament in the history of AU. Although
they lost to Akron and *Michigan State A, James Roeder, Adam Wright, Yubin Yang, Dan Tuleta, and Brian Shepherd all played
their hearts out to beat *Michigan State's B team. Great job guys!
