This season has been deemed a rebuilding season, which turns out not to always be a bad thing. The recent
acquisitions of foreign players Jun Liao and Abdul Ibiyeye, the team has reached uncharted territory in terms of depth. Both
players have had an instant impact on the team and may break into the team's top four for the regional tournament at Ohio
State on February 28th.
Background
The Ashland University Table Tennis Club Team was formed in the fall of 2007. Since then, it has been going
strong by bringing its members to NCTTA, as well as USATT, tournaments. The team practices twice a week in the Ashland University
Rec Center gameroom and is looking to expand its team a bit next year. The club team is comprised of both students who enjoy
playing table tennis for fun, as well as those who participate for competition. Anyone interested is welcome to drop by between
6-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
